TRAINING CENTER

What are the benefits for you to become a
permanent cosmetic technician?
- Do you like flexibility in your schedule?
- Do you want to be your own boss?
- Do you want to be successful & proud of your accomplishments?
- Do you want to set your income level?
- Do you want to become a part of an industry that is growing?
You schedule as many or as few appointments needed to meet
the requirements of both your personal and financial lifestyle. Your
equipment and supplies are so portable you can contract with several spas,
salons, or doctor's offices at the same time. A technician can earn $200.00 with
one appointment in the morning, free to have lunch and run errands all
afternoon. In this industry your business growth is totally what you make
it. Some technicians book 3-5 appointments in a day, some have other
obligations and can only work in one appointment a day. You may only want
to work 3 days a week, while others may work 6 days a week. We have had
technicians contract their services to work at a doctors office in the morning
and be at a salon that afternoon. Contracting your services cuts your overhead
expenses with the need to pay rent, utilities, and receptionists.
There must be a clear understanding that this is not a “FAST
CASH” opportunity. As a new technician you will be in full control of your
growth rate in this industry. This is not a “too good to be true, offer for
training. We do not in any way guarantee employment and/or immediate
success upon leaving the training center. The following chart is an example of a
gross annual income working a 50 week year. This chart displays a minimum
procedure cost of an average $375.00.

The earning potential is up to your
education in the industry, your geographical area, and the price structure you
set forth. "Successfully
completed educational levels are the foundations of every successful business."
Why attend a training center -vs- media
& kit form education?
-
Training Facility: You will have “hands on training &
interaction” . Focus will be on the many aspects of the permanent
cosmetic industry as a whole. A training center is a structured environment
with a curriculum designed to teach you everything from basic business
accounting, legalities, strategies & marketing, to complete bio-hazard
handling & aseptic techniques, in depth color theory, anatomy, along with your
equipment & supplies. The majority of training facilities will become a
support system for you years after you leave. You will receive the “one on
one” interaction, have questions answered, and be tested. The most important
aspect of the PC industry is safety through education. As a technician, you
will be responsible for your client's health and appearance. This is
absolutely not a career that can be learned in a day, or two days. Insurance
Companies look at your educational level in the industry. An insurance company
does not want to write a liability policy on a technician with little
education in an industry that literally marks a clients body permanently.
-
DVD & Video Education: There are a great deal of media
educational tools flooding today's market. However, most are designed for
individuals with some knowledge of the permanent cosmetic industry. How can a
student interact with a video, or DVD? Who answers questions, and guides
you through a practice procedure? What if you run into a problem that was not
discussed? Some of these educational systems are very expensive and cannot be
returned. DVD's & video's can be very valuable learning aids.
There is always room to learn something new. Research should be done on the
authors and their credentials.
-
Starter Kits: BUYER BEWARE!!! Huge thumbs down. “If it
sounds to good….”, yes, this cliché is true. Prepackaged, “Learn
Permanent Cosmetics” kits are absolutely red flags. Insurance Companies &
Clients do ask, “where did you learn this?” Are you honestly going to be
comfortable saying you bought a starter kit that came with a DVD? It is
amazing that these kits exist. Low grade equipment, supplies, and extremely
vague instructional help. While the kits may be a greatly reduced cost
for education, the long term liabilities are certainly not cost effective.
